Production Update

Hi friends,
We hope you’ve been keeping safe and healthy. The dust is still settling on the new normal, and it’s not been an easy transition for anybody. A part of us regrets not making SHASN sooner - it would have been a joy to have another game to stave off the quarantine cabin fever.
Unfortunately, we’re still waiting to receive the production copy of SHASN at this point. Due to the combined Coronavirus lockdown and the onset of monsoons, the copy is still stuck outside the country. Things are taking awfully long to clear customs right now, and if our copy doesn’t clear warehousing fast enough, it will most likely get damaged.
We apologise for this frustrating delay. However, as first time creators, we do not want to publish our game without feeling the paper and touching the components. I want to personally ensure that the final print and material quality - that will hopefully sit on your shelf for years - isn't compromised in any way.
We’re trying to expedite this process through a couple of channels. Given the state of things, it’s hard to be certain, but we should receive it by the end of next week. Everything after that should follow quickly.
Thank you for being patient and understanding. I remain committed to delivering the best possible version of SHASN to you, as soon as possible.
Production Update + Rulebook

Hello everyone,
In the face of a global upheaval this past month, we have seen remarkable solidarity. Around the world, people have stayed indoors to protect the most vulnerable amongst us, while healthcare workers have fought at the frontlines tirelessly. It’s amazing to see people come together in a divided world, watching out for each other. COVID-19 is by no means over, but it is coming under control in many countries.
However, the lockdown in India continues, as the number of cases keep growing. Due to this extended lockdown, we are not able to receive the final manufacturing copy of SHASN from China at the moment. We need to approve this copy before we give a go-ahead for the entire production batch. As a result, we can expect a bit of a delay in production.
Although disheartening, our hands are tied. As soon as we can get the manufacturing copy, we will publish a grand photoshoot and an updated How To Play video. We’ll keep you posted on all future developments.
Also, since many of you have asked for the final rulebook, we are happy to share it! Please note that this is the standard edition rulebook. All Kickstarter Backers will receive a special Collector’s Edition rulebook with many more design elements! Check it out here:

Politics In The Time of Pandemics

Hi friends,
We find ourselves in unprecedented times today. The COVID-19 outbreak has created a deeply anxious present, and a terribly uncertain future. India is in complete lockdown. Several countries are faring much worse, and the loss of life and livelihoods we are hearing about everyday are heartbreaking. I hope you and your loved ones are safe and prepared to ride this out.
Now more than ever, we need to engage with our public policy. It is crises like these that put our systems to the test, and we must elect politicians who prioritize the right things. For better or worse, this pandemic has forced us to reexamine our healthcare, habits, safety nets, economy - and going forward, it is imperative for us to participate in these conversations. It is the only way to avert and mitigate future tragedies.

On a less serious note, we’re expecting the final SHASN prototype from China soon. Looking forward to sharing a bunch of pictures once we get our hands on it!
I also want to confirm that we charged cards for shipping and add-ons, earlier today. If you were charged by Gadfly Studios - that was us.
We’ll be back with a more detailed update regarding manufacturing soon. In the meantime, please follow the advice of medical professionals: stay indoors, wash your hands, don’t touch your face.

Hey backers!
Important heads up: as we enter manufacturing and inch closer to shipping, we will be charging your credit/debit cards on March 31st. We understand that sometimes light financial acrobatics are required to ensure that everything is in order. Hopefully this provides adequate notice!

As mentioned in the previous update, we’re still monitoring the production situation in China. So far, so good.

Hi Backers!
Hope you’re keeping healthy and well!
The lowdown: production timelines are looking good, and we are on schedule to deliver SHASN on time. At the time of writing this update, we are locking and sending across all the game’s design files to Longpack. They will now assemble a final prototype, which we will approve before mass printing.
As of yet, we have not received any intimation regarding delays from our manufacturing or fulfillment partners. However, given the outbreak of the coronavirus in China, we understand the community’s concerns, and are closely monitoring the situation. We’ll have another update for you immediately if anything changes.
Putting together the final touches on SHASN has been very fun and rewarding for the whole team. We’re thoroughly excited to get it to you!
